Yes, it’s such a tragic mistake to be untrustworthy.
I experienced another version of it (unless it’s just a bug) in a photo editing app I tried this morning. I tried tweeting a modified screen shot (below) using the built-in social sharing feature …
… but when I looked at my Tweets instead of an embedded image, there was a pic of the photo-editing app’s icon (!) and a link to its iTunes listing (not my pic) … then a link to my pic as a Twitter image. Boo!
So they used up a chunk of my tweet’s 140 characters for their promo without my permission and put their icon in my timeline. Off.
